Working towards achieving the overall goal of providing relevant and quality education and sports for all Ghanaians including the disadvantaged to enable them acquire skills which will make them functionally literate and productive to facilitate poverty alleviation, promote the rapid socio-economic growth and accelerate sport development for the welfare Ghanaians is our passion.
The Ministry of Education, Science and Sports exists to carry out the Government's vision of using quality education delivery and sports to accelerate the nation's socio economic development through the following action plan:
- Expanding access to education at all level of education
- Providing and improving infrastructural facilities
- Raising the quality of teaching and learning for effective outcomes
- Making education more relevant to national goals and aspiration by focusing on vocational and technical education
- Making tertiary education more cost effective.
- Providing free education at the basic level.
- Promoting sports at all levels.
